NAIA Terminal 5 is the planned new passenger terminal under the airport's private-sector rehabilitation and expansion program. It is rising right next to Terminal 2, on the site of the former Philippine Village Hotel and Nayong Pilipino.

Demolition of the Philippine Village Hotel began in April 2025, and by early 2026 the structure had been completely taken down, clearing the way for the new terminal. Because of the site's proximity to Terminal 2, there are planned integrations between the two buildings.

Terminal 5 will be domestic only. Once it is operational, the broader plan for NAIA is to use Terminals 1 and 3 for international flights, while Terminals 2, 4, and 5 together handle domestic operations. The goal is to add much-needed capacity, reduce congestion, and make better use of the airport's limited space.
