NAIA Terminal 2, or the Centennial Terminal, opened in the late 1990s as Philippine Airlines' dedicated terminal. It was originally split into domestic and international wings, allowing PAL to run both sides of its network from one building.
The terminal was designed for around 7.5 million passengers a year. For a long time, it worked as PAL's main hub, with domestic flights on one side and international flights on the other.
That changed in 2023, when Terminal 2 was converted into an all-domestic terminal. Its immigration, customs, and quarantine areas were removed or reassigned, which increased its usable capacity to around 10 million passengers a year. Today, Terminal 2 mainly handles domestic flights, including PAL domestic services and other domestic operations moved there after Terminal 4's closure.
