Allow extra time as Tropical Storm Maymay and the habagat bring heavy rain to Luzon

Tropical Storm Maymay (international name: Kujira) and the southwest monsoon (habagat) are bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding across much of Luzon. Maymay has made landfall and is expected to weaken, while the habagat continues to enhance rainfall over the western half of the country. PAGASA has warned of strong to gale-force gusts over most of the country from August 6 to 8, and parts of Metro Manila have already seen heavy downpours, flooded roads, and reduced visibility.

Although Metro Manila is not under a wind signal, passengers traveling through NAIA should expect slower road traffic to and from the airport, longer queues, and the possibility of flight delays, diversions, or cancellations as thunderstorms and poor visibility may affect operations.
